Do you suffer with unexplained symptoms such as headaches, sleep problems and dizziness following exposure to electromagnetic fields? You could be suffering from this condition.

EM Precautions

Mobile Phones

  • Try and limit how much you use your mobile phone to make calls – use a landline wherever possible (but not a DECT* cordless phone as these also emit microwaves)
  • Use an air tube headset instead of a standard hands-free set
  • Try to avoid holding the phone to your head during a call – use speakerphone if possible
  • Text rather than call wherever you can

DECT* Cordless Phones

  • Avoid using a DECT cordless phone – instead use a hard wire phone which plugs into your wall
  • Remember that owning a DECT phone is similar to sharing your house with a mobile phone mast – the hub it uses is simply a miniature version
*Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunication

Phone masts

  • Try not to live in a property within half a mile of a mast

Electric Cars

  • Avoid electrically powered cars. Petrol / Gas powered vehicles emit less EMFs.

Wi-fi

  • Wherever you can, use hardwire internet connections which plug into the phone line rather than Wi-Fi
  • If you must use Wi-Fi, switch it off after use
  • Always switch your Wi-Fi off at night – this is when you are at your most sensitive/vulnerable
  • Raise concerns about Wi-Fi with your neighbours as connections can penetrate up to 30m of wooden framed structures

Smart Meters

  • Do not have a wireless smart meter in your home – speak to your provider about getting it replaced if you do have one

Other Tips

  • Protect children and the elderly – their immune systems are either developing or impaired
  • Avoid using wireless devices of any description – smart cookers, mouse repellents, TVs, music systems and door bells, for instance – as they can all damage your cells
